Another year

Last year I made a card for my mother-in-law's birthday. However, I misplaced it before I was able to give it to her. Which really isn't to surprising if you've seen my office. This year I won't be losing her card!

You'll also notice my picture is a bit different. I made a light box to take pictures with. I still need better lighting and a better backdrop. But for now I'm happy with the different feel of the picture.

Hot Chocolate Cones

I love being crafty. I came across a fun little crafty gift on Disney's Family Fun website. Thank you google for leading me in the right direction. To make 6 of them I spent less than $15. In the cones are Hot Chocolate Mix, Mini Chocolate Chips, Mini Marshmallows and a Red Gum Drop. I couldn't find party gift bags that were coned shaped so I got the plastic cake-decorating bags instead.

Here is the finished product! Best part is my husband said I could sell these in stores. Now, I have NO intentions on doing that. But I think it's an amazing complement.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS

Hi Everyone~ I LOVE CHRISTMAS. Part of that is making Christmas cards! Here are the cards that I made for co-workers and my husbands Grandpa.

The project I work on has a Penguin as a mascot. That is where I got my inspiration!

Turtle Card Complete!

Wow. That was really quick! I made the SCAL file last night when I had this genius idea. But other than that it took me like 10 min to make this cute little card. The only thing I need to perfect is it's size. It ended up being about 2x4 inches...about half the size of a normal card. But it's still cute! Here are some photos of the card. It is the first shape card that I've made.

My 1st first was creating the SCAL file that cut a shape card. My 2nd first was having multiple pieces of paper being cut at the same time.

I then put the green paper through my new CuddleBug to give it some dimension. I then glued the two pieces of paper together, added a facial expression and it was done! I told you it was quick and easy!

So cute!

I'm Making a Card

I know I know I know...I've done a really poor job of updating my blog. Part of the problem is I haven't been making many cards. Last week I made one for my husbands Grandpa. It was pretty simple...just said Gobble Gobble on the front and had a cute little turkey on the inside.

Today I'm making a card. I'm really excited about it because it won't be a standard sized card that I decorate. It will be a card that I cut into a shape of an animal and then decorate. I'm making this card for a friend that I *hope* to see this evening. I'll post pictures if it turns out well!
